Gulf Oil Spill, Dawn Dish Detergent and Wildlife

With the devastation of the recent oil spill, it makes me wonder why I use Dawn detergent.

I wash my english bulldog with Dawn (original). I also put a drop into my laundry along with my regular detergent. This makes my clothes so clean and free from odor.

Learning about the recent oil spill from BP, I stumbled across information on how rescuers are actually removing the oil from our feathered friends. I seen a bird covered entirely with the thick black oil. After the bird was washed with Dawn dishwashing soap the bird was free from the oil and clean. This amazed me so much. I then asked myself is this why Dawn dishwashing soap have pictures of mammals and animals on their bottles.

I am not so surprised of the wonders Dawn does because I use it myself. Not only is Dawn aiding with the cleanup of our animals and mammals,Dawn is making sure that for each bottle bought by consumers a portion is donated to helping the aid of the gulf spill. Dawn also contributes to conservation projects to protect wildlife.

Dawn Dish Detergent  does a lot more than just the dishes.  There is more information about Dawn on their website.

Oh wow! I didn't know this! It's good that more and more companies are making the effort to save animals and the planet. Thank you for sharing this.
